The Paul Edwards Building will provide 22 1BR units for low-income Veterans in Portland's Mill Park Neighborhood. This development will utilize unique modular construction and is in partnership with Do Good Multnomah, a non-profit organization that helps veterans find permanent supportive housing.
Originally called "Division Street Modular" for its unique construction process, the project was named after a veteran, Paul Edward Hovanas a beloved son, father, and grandfather who was dedicated to his military service. Veterans living at the Paul Edwards Building will benefit from a Resident Services program specifically designed by Do Good Multnomah to enhance their lives and ensure long-term success and stable housing.
As a transit-oriented development, the site is located near public transportation and amenities to enhance livability and convenience for future residents. DGM is an experienced Veterans service organization based in Portland and offers low-barrier housing, emergency shelters, and case management services.
The development will utilize modular construction from Blazer Industries, an experienced manufacturer. Modular construction controls costs and significantly reduces the construction timeline, expediting the availability of affordable housing for Veterans. All units will have air conditioning, in-unit washers and dryers, dishwashers, and stainless steel appliances.
