Built to give homes to wildfire-affected families and individuals in Mill City, Oregon, this 54-unit affordable housing project is scheduled for completion in November 2024. We're thankful for our partners Green Light Development, Marion County Housing Authority, Marion County, and Oregon Housing and Community Services for the opportunity to bring more affordable housing to our neighbors in the Northwest.
The Mill City Apartments is a 54-unit development with a mix of 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom townhome units affordable to renters earning at or below 60% of area median income (AMI). Marion County lost an estimated 700 units to the 2020 Beachie Creek wildfire. This development will help replenish lost housing stock and provide quality affordable housing to low-income families in the area.
This project is a Green Light Development & Home First Development partnership with support from Marion County Housing Authority. Future residents will benefit from resident services provided by Mano A Mano, a culturally specific services organization serving the Latinx community. The buildings will achieve green building standards comparable to Earth Advantage Gold. The 1,500 SF community space, outdoor amenities, beautiful mountain views, and easy access to the Santiam River will support residents and promote community building.
